students

I recorded 2 of my longer time students yesterday. I got 3 of their favorite pieces videotaped and then worked on getting one of their compositions down on manuscript paper so I can input it into Finale or another sheet music device. It was great practice for me to do. Amazing how challenging their compositions really are. The complex rhythms they've come up with and beautiful melodic parts. Trying a joy to see how incredible these students are.

One student relented in one of her lessons and played and sang a Taylor Swift song. Amazing voice and comfort playing it. My heart melts every time I hear it and I've cried each time. This students has an incredible ear and is only in 6th grade.

The joys of teaching piano are really never ending!
